Little Rock, Arkansas designer Garry Mertins does a great job blending a mix of wood with a light, beachy color palette in this 1920's renovated home featured in At Home in Arkansas and photographed by Nancy Nolan. The pretty robin’s egg blue throughout was inspired by the family’s love of the beach, but they also wanted a mix of Old World with contemporary details. And they love wood! All the woodwork is original to the home, but freshened up with pretty paint to keep it from feeling like a dark cave. (Sadly, I don't know any of the specific paint colors–they were all custom Sherwin-Williams!) Did you notice the refreshment counter in the kitchen with a wine bar and built-in coffee system?! Very cool! Read the entire article about the home renovation over at At Home in Arkansas!
