My favorite kitchens list just got a little bit longer! Interior designer Jessica Brende transformed a 1950's Malibu kitchen from a drab, linoleum-clad space into a breezy, beautiful dream kitchen! The homeowner actually grew up in this ranch-style house, but her parents sold it long ago. Eventually she was fortunate enough to buy it back, and give it a facelift. (I dream of doing that!) The color scheme was inspired by the gorgeous ocean-hued backsplash from Walker Zanger, which looks amazing with the cabinets! Jessica actually kept the existing cabinetry, just freshened them up with the perfect custom paint color. You can read all about the space photographed by Karyn Millet over at Cultivate, and see more great, colorful designs from Brende Home here!
