Over the course of the year she's become one of my absolute favorite photographers. I was so excited to her photos of this fresh and vibrant space by interior designer <a href="http://caitlinwilsondesign.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Caitlin Wilson</a>. She really captures the beauty in the details, don't you think?? The mix of colors and patterns is fantastic here...the <a href="http://www.fschumacher.com/collections/celeriekemble.aspx" target="_blank">Celerie Kemble</a> fabrics make my heart ache! Caitlin also has a blog called <a href="http://caitlinwilsondesign.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Caitlin Wilson Design: Style Files</a> just loaded with great info and beautiful eye candy. I love stretching out my birthday! :)<br /><br />When I first saw these rooms designed by the always-inspiring <a href="http://tobifairley.com/" target="_blank">Tobi Fairley</a> in <a href="http://www.traditionalhome.com/design_decorating/greenspace/designer-tobi-fairley_ss1.html" target="_blank">Traditional Home</a>, it felt nothing short of a fabulous early birthday gift. Photographed by <a href="http://nancynolanphotography.com/" target="_blank">Nancy Nolan</a>, this bedroom and sunroom were part of an eco-friendly charity showhouse in Arkansas. While Tobi has never been shy to pair turquoise with orange, I'm just loving how vibrant and cheery it is here. It's awesome to know she used a mix of new and recycled furnishings (behold the magic of low-VOC paints!) and organic fabrics. I've been drooling over that aqua <a href="http://www.rubiegreen.com/fabrics/patsy-3.html?SID=ruhorg2if0692uk6r6hharlbn3" target="_blank">Rubie Green</a> fabric forever, it's just perfect here on the sofa and draperies! 30! (and a winner & some favorites!)

I thought I'd share with you guys one of the rooms that inspired me to start this blog three years ago. I had seen this home while stalking <a href="http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/ny/fall-colors-2006-east/31-maiyshas-urban-oasis-013642" target="_blank">Apartment Therapy's Fall Colors</a> contest, and back then I'd never seen anything like it! One day when I wanted to go look at it again, it took me forever to find it. That's when I realized maybe I should start a blog to collect fabulous rooms, make them easier to find, and seriously, imagine the thrill of seeing <span style="font-style: italic;">turquoise room after turquoise room</span>! Never in a million years did I think I'd have so many readers, meet so many people who love turquoise as much as I do. And to think most aren't even filled with my favorite color, as this shingle-style home in Bridgehampton is! The home and its owner Todd Rome, president of Blue Star Jets, were recently profiled in <a href="http://www.27east.com/story_detail.cfm?id=297225&town=&n=">27east</a>. Although their primary residence is a townhouse on the Upper East Side, Todd and his wife Vanessa (who decorated the home) and their 4 children spend their summers here. I think my favorite room is the kitchen...those lanterns are so cool! Colorful Victorian Home

That hand-glazed tile in the kitchen is incredible, it really swings the bland scale way over in the other direction. And the guest bedroom...so much to love there. You already know how I live for canopy beds, but throw in some bold turquoise wallpaper and I'm a total goner. I'm loving the fabric on the chair, pillows and valance too. My eyes were immediately drawn to the beautiful custom built vanity inspired by an antique buffet.
