The portfolio of Santa Monica interior designer <a href="http://www.markatosdesign.com/" target="_blank">Christine Markatos Lowe</a> is downright stunning. I absolutely love the fresh mixture of pattern, color and texture in her elegant style! That first image of the stairway with the chevron-wallpapered bathroom feels so ethereal, it seriously takes me away. Love that comfy outdoor lounge area too with the piles of pillows! I really love all the rooms though. A little rustic, but just so, so pretty!! Creative and talented mom Brittany Davis out of Charlottesville, Virginia designed this incredible nursery for her little Ada Jane, using the most beautiful colors (walls are Aqua Glow by Valspar) and unique objects. Everything you see is something Brittany made (with the help of good friends), pieces from antique shops that were painted and re-finished, or things saved through the years–like her mother's boots from the 50's, her old ballet pointe shoes and Christening gown or the needle point her Great Grandmother created! Amazing!! I know this is one room that <i>everyone</i> in the entire family treasures! I've actually been inside it! The home was designed and built by <a href="http://greatneighborhoodhomes.com/" target="_blank">Great Neighborhood Homes</a>, a boutique builder here in Minneapolis, and was in the recent Parade of Homes. How thrilled I was to discover my favorite color used throughout! I can't tell you how much I love the fresh palette of greens and blues, with fun pops of red and coral. How fabulous is the grasscloth on the dining room ceiling?? AND the wallpaper in the bathrooms, the comfy window seats and beautiful chandeliers?! Love it all!
